Why do service?

Service is a key aspect of our ministry at St. Michael.  As Jesus says in the Gospel of Matthew,

“Truly I tell you, just as you did to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”

                                                   -Matthew 25: 40

We realize that we cannot rely upon faith alone, but that we must also put this faith into action.  We do this in many different ways throughout the year which can be found below, but also by trying to live out the words of St. Francis of Assisi:

“Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words.”

· Every Retreat contains a service element

· Monthly service events

· Serving as Ministers for Mass

· Bi-Yearly service trip to Guatemala

· Week long service trip in the summer

· Mentoring
