Guatemala Service Trip |
|
This summer marked our fifth bi-annual trip to Zacapa, Guatemala to perform service. We go on this trip with an amazing international service agency called Hearts in Motion. You can check their website out by clicking the link below:
The trip is not a mission trip in the sense that we are not trying to “convert” others through our words. Rather, we are merely performing service so as to show Christ to others through our actions. The group this year put on a Vacation Bible School in a village, painted a school ,and performed numerous handouts at various villages along the way.
On last year’s trip, the group worked all morning at a daycare and handing out clothing and food at various locations. In the afternoons, the group helped to lead a vacation Bible School at a local church. |
